Competitors
Open Competitors at /competitors. The section turns competitor research into a shared workspace instead of requiring a chat for every review.
Four tabs
Section titled “Four tabs”- Overview shows the latest brief and the “only new” digest: new, retired or revived creatives, offer changes, angle patterns, gaps, threats and recommended tests.
- Creatives is the scanned creative gallery. Filter by competitor, lifecycle status, angle, format and market; open copied media or the Ad Library snapshot and read available transcripts.
- Competitors manages the saved competitor set, markets, scan history, scheduled watch and spending cap. Add a competitor by Meta Page ID, Page link or Ad Library link; a name or handle is accepted only when it matches exactly one Page — otherwise the form lists the candidates for you to pick.
- Search runs a one-off public Meta Ad Library search without adding an advertiser to the saved set.
Scheduled watch and notifications
Section titled “Scheduled watch and notifications”Turn on a weekly (default) or biweekly watch and choose its markets. The first scheduled scan runs one period after you switch the watch on (the page shows the exact date); use Scan now if you want a baseline right away. When a scheduled scan finds changes — new, retired or revived creatives, offer changes, a shift in a competitor’s launch pace or a competitor newly added to the set — AdWitch sends an “only new” digest through the in-app bell and through enabled notification channels. An empty digest is not sent, and the first scan of a set only establishes the baseline. If the scan cannot read the Ad Library, you receive a separate notification with the steps to fix it. The next scheduled date and previous run remain visible in the section.
Manual scans and cost controls
Section titled “Manual scans and cost controls”Scan now first presents a cost estimate. Review its scope and maximum charge before confirming. Starting a scan or search needs an Ad Library source: a connected Meta ad account that can read the library, or the platform data provider. Scans use the team balance and respect the competitor-intelligence monthly cap ($50 by default); when that cap or the balance is exhausted, the page explains what must change rather than starting a scan. A recent compatible result can be reused without another charge.
Roles and account access
Section titled “Roles and account access”Viewing saved intelligence needs no Meta token. Every team member can view intelligence for ad accounts they may access. Roles with write permission can change the competitor set and start scans. Schedule and cap changes require the appropriate settings permission. Restricted agency members must select an account; access is never widened to team-wide data.
Ask the Agent
Section titled “Ask the Agent”The Agent can:
- maintain your competitor list, including finding candidates and adding them after you approve;
- estimate and start a competitor scan, then report its progress;
- retrieve the latest brief, digest, patterns, creatives, landing-page findings and run history.
Ask in plain language, such as “Add these brands to my competitors”, “Estimate a scan for Germany”, or “Summarise only what changed since the previous scan.” Paid scans always require an explicit confirmation of the quoted ceiling.
Ad Library limits
Section titled “Ad Library limits”Media, transcripts and discovery may require the platform’s data provider; without it scans can return a text-only result. Ad Library does not expose competitors’ campaign results, CPA, CTR or ROAS. Treat ad copy as a claim and use it as inspiration for original work, not content to copy.
