Tests, Rules & Budget Schedules
Besides Autopilot, AdWitch lets you manage local comparisons and Meta-native automation in chat. Local A/B tests stay in AdWitch; split tests, rules and budget schedules are created on Meta. The agent asks for confirmation before changes.
Quick A/B tests (local)
Section titled “Quick A/B tests (local)”“Test the two hooks in the Summer campaign and tell me which wins” — the agent compares existing ads, ad sets or creatives on their real Meta metrics without splitting the audience. Frame the test as a hypothesis with one variable, a success metric, a percentage threshold and a deadline (1–30 days). The result is confirmed, refuted or insufficient data, with the numbers and period recorded as team knowledge. Tests are re-checked on Autopilot cycles. Without a hypothesis, the agent can still compare which variant won. The verdict alone never changes an ad on Meta; pause and budget changes go through Autopilot recommendations.
Commands: create a test, list active tests, get details, cancel.
Note: Variants with overlapping audiences can bias a local comparison. When you need a clean answer — new audiences, bidding strategies, placements — ask for a Meta split test instead.
Meta split tests and lift studies
Section titled “Meta split tests and lift studies”Meta’s native A/B tests (ad studies) divide the audience between cells so the comparison is fair, and Meta reports its own confidence. The agent creates the study from live campaigns or ad sets, names the cells, sets the duration, and later reads the result; lift studies (brand or conversion lift) work the same way where the account is eligible.
Automated rules (Ads Manager)
Section titled “Automated rules (Ads Manager)”The rules you would set up in Ads Manager → Automated rules can be created and edited in the chat: “pause any ad set with CPA above $20 over the last three days, check every 30 minutes”.
- Entities: campaign, ad set, ad; filters on spend, CPA, CTR, ROAS, frequency and more, over a chosen time window.
- Actions: pause, unpause, change budget or bid (by amount or percent, with a cap), or notify only.
- The agent shows a preview of what the rule would touch right now before creating it, and can list the rule’s execution history afterwards.
- Edits are spliced into the existing rule, so the conditions you did not mention stay intact.
Rules run on Meta’s side and keep working when AdWitch is idle. Autopilot sees native rules as a signal when evaluating affected entities.
Budget schedules (high-demand periods)
Section titled “Budget schedules (high-demand periods)”For a sale, a launch or a holiday peak, schedule a temporary budget increase on a published campaign or ad set: start and end time, and the new budget as a value or a multiplier. Meta returns to the normal budget automatically when the window ends. The agent lists, creates and cancels schedules; the amounts are quoted in the ad account’s currency.
