Cookie Policy — AdWitch AI Ad Platform
Which cookies adwitch.ai and the AdWitch app use, why, for how long, and how to change your choice.
Last updated:
Version 2026-09-11
This policy explains how Tranquility Psychiatry and Counseling Services LLC (“AdWitch”, “we”) uses cookies and similar storage on the website adwitch.ai and in the application app.adwitch.ai. It complements the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) serve the same purposes and are covered by this policy. First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by providers such as Google or Meta when their code runs on our pages.
2. How we ask for consent
The website shows a cookie banner on your first visit. Necessary cookies do not require consent. Analytics and Marketing cookies are placed only after you accept them — either all at once with “Accept all cookies” or category by category under “Cookie preferences”, where “Save changes” stores your choice. Refusing is as easy as accepting: “Reject non-essential cookies” sits on the same banner as “Accept all cookies”, at the same size. Nothing is pre-ticked, and the site works the same either way. Your decision is stored in the first-party cookie aw_consent for 6 months together with the policy version; when this policy changes, we ask again.
Until you consent — and after you withdraw consent — the analytics and marketing scripts are not loaded at all, and Google Consent Mode is set to “denied”. When you withdraw a category, we also delete the trackers’ first-party cookies listed below as far as the browser lets us.
3. Cookies we use
Necessary
Required for sign-in, security and remembering your settings. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, for the consent cookie, complying with the law.
| Name | Provider | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
aw_consent | AdWitch | Website | Stores your cookie choices and the policy version they were made under. | 6 months |
token | AdWitch | App | HttpOnly session cookie that keeps you signed in to the app and protects requests against forgery. | 7 days |
impersonate_token | AdWitch | App | Set only when an AdWitch administrator opens a user's workspace for support; lets the app act as that user for the duration. | 1 hour |
adwitch-locale | AdWitch | App | Remembers the interface language you picked in the app (also mirrored in local storage). | 1 year |
adwitch-theme (local storage) | AdWitch | App | Remembers the light/dark theme you chose. | Until cleared |
sidebar-collapsed chat-history-collapsed adwitch_columns_* (local storage) | AdWitch | App | Interface layout preferences: collapsed sidebar and chat history, visible columns in campaign tables. | Until cleared |
chat:form:* (local storage) | AdWitch | App | Keeps unfinished answers to the agent's question forms so a reload does not lose them. | Up to 30 days |
onb_* email-missing-dismissed:* (session storage) | AdWitch | App | Short-lived tab-only flags (these and a few unnamed ones): dismissed banners and dialogs, one-time onboarding messages, recovery after an outdated bundle. | Until the tab is closed |
Analytics — only with your consent
Help us understand which pages are read and where visitors leave. Provider: Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC (Google Analytics 4, optionally loaded through Google Tag Manager). Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
| Name | Provider | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google (Google Analytics 4) | Website | Distinguishes visitors so page views can be counted as sessions. | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google (Google Analytics 4) | Website | Keeps the session state for one GA4 property. | 2 years |
Marketing — only with your consent
Let us measure whether our own advertising on Meta platforms brings visitors and show our ads to relevant audiences. Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd / Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel). Legal basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
| Name | Provider | Where | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_fbp | Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel) | Website | Identifies the browser to Meta so ad delivery and conversions can be measured. | 3 months |
_fbc | Meta Platforms (Meta Pixel) | Website | Stores the click identifier of a Meta ad that brought you here. | 3 months |
The application uses only the necessary items above; it shows no banner because it places no optional cookies. Demo previews of the app embedded on the website write no cookies or storage at all.
4. Third parties and transfers
With your consent, Google and Meta receive technical data such as your IP address (truncated by Google Analytics), browser identifiers, the pages you visit and the ad you clicked. They act as independent controllers for their own purposes and may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. Their policies: Google and Meta. We do not sell personal data.
5. How to change your choice
- Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page on adwitch.ai to reopen the banner and change categories at any time.
- Delete or block cookies in your browser settings (Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all offer per-site controls). Blocking necessary cookies will prevent signing in to the app.
- Google offers a browser opt-out add-on; Meta lets you manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
6. Changes
We update this policy when the cookies we use change and record the version in the aw_consent cookie, so material changes automatically trigger a new consent request.
